Lewis Flyer newspaper website redesign

In the spring of 2009, I became the Editor in Chief for the Lewis Flyer’s website in addition to the print product. At the time, the website ran on the CollegePublisher palatform. CP did what we needed it to do, but we could do better. I began the long process of transitioning to an independent server running WordPress as a CMS. The theme is built around ‘The Gazette Edition‘ by Woo Themes, customized extensively to match the look and feel of both the print newspaper and other websites in the Lewis University community.

Joliet Race Week 2010 Banner

This is an HTML banner I created for Sun-Times News Group for the Joliet Race Week held the second weekend of July, 2010. It ran on the sports index page for Naperville, Aurora, Elgin and Joliet. The banner was written from scratch by hand. It is meant to emulate the look and feel of Sun-Timse sites, incorporating elements like ‘home’ lead story and colors. I also created the banner and headers using STNG images from the previous year’s race.
