Two years ago, I bought this domain in the hopes that I, too, could have a BLOG! I have a lot to say about a lot of things, right?

How wrong I was.

I suffered from one of the most amateur mistakes of blogging: not having a focus. I opted to talk a little bit about everything instead of a lot of something, and I wound up not having much to say. Back then, I was just dipping my feet into the great big ocean that is modern journalism.

So here I am, three weeks after graduating with a degree in multimedia journalism. Even before I graduated, I was seeing and doing things I never thought I would have. I’ve live-blogged the presidential election before I knew what live-blogging was. I became the editor in chief for my paper after a few months of journalism experience, and we went on to win a lot of awards. I worked next to Tom Skilling and Mark Suppelsa. I rebuilt the Lewis Flyer newspaper web site from the ground up.

This blog is a starting point for me for my post-collegiate career. I’ll be using it to accomplish all sorts of things: gather my thoughts on things related to the field, sharing my resume and experiences and share public index of bookmarks of neat things I find. I’m still not sure where this blog is going, but there’s only one way to find out!
